Last Friday we made our way down to Bethlehem for the Aardvark Sports Shop’s Friday Night Lights run. We got there a bit late due to traffic, but we called the shop and they actually kept somewhere there to wait for us. Pretty nice of them. We started off in front of the Bethlehem Brew Works and made our down Broad Street in Bethlehem. The sidewalk on Broad St. was a bit of an obstacle course with its sections heaved and hoed up & down and left & right. As we got close to 8th Ave, I moved to the front of our small group of 6. The next thing I knew I was rolling down the sidewalk. I tripped on one of the heaved sidewalk sections and instantly fell into a somersaulting roll down the path.

After getting back to my feet, I began to take inventory. My knee and my left hand were a bit painful, but fortunately no blood. My glove palm was ripped open so hopefully Santa brings me a new pair for Festivus this year. I do have another pair, but they have been adopted by my wife. We continued down the busy streets of Bethlehem and the pain eventually subsided. Whew!

We eventually made our way to the Christmas light house. As you can see it was pretty lavishly decorated. Hate to have their electric bill. As we stood there cars were lined up to rolling  past. I waited a bit to try and get a decent pano shot with my iPhone. I still had to crop out one minivan that would not move on the left side. After oohing and ahhing for a few minutes we made our way back to Bethlehem. We met up with some friends afterwards and enjoyed a nice dinner(after an extremely long wait) at the Brew Works. I had the Stuffed Pepper and Minestrone soup which was killer. The ACH-47 Pale Ale was also pretty killer. Good times.

One other thing was that my cold has finally headed out. The damn cough took its good old time going away, but it finally did. It feels good to finally get a full week of training in again. Back on the horse!
